1.  “Subscribing Lawyers and other other legal services providers” means any of or all of the following:
   
   1. Lawyers called to bar in a Canadian jurisdiction who is licensed to practice law in that jurisdiction and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of that jurisdiction and have signed a referral service agreement with LegistLens Canada Corp.;
   2. Paralegals who are licensed to provide legal services in a Canadian jurisdiction and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of that jurisdiction and have signed a referral service agreement with LegistLens Canada Corp.;
   3. Lawyers providing notary services and have signed a referral service agreement with LegistLens Canada Corp.; 
   4. Meditators registered with the relevant Law Society or other regulatory body in their jurisdiction, and have signed a referral service agreement with LegistLens Canada Corp.; and / or
   5. Lawyers, notaries or paralegals who provide mobile services by meeting clients at home, place of business or other accessible locations and have signed a referral service agreement with LegistLens Canada Corp.
2. “Canadian Jurisdiction” means any one of the following, all of the following or any combination the following:
   
   1. Alberta;
   2. British Columbia;
   3. Manitoba;
   4. New Brunswick;
   5. Newfoundland;
   6. Northwest Territories;
   7. Nova Scotia;
   8. Nunavut;
   9. Ontario;
   10. Prince Edward Island;
   11. Quebec;
   12. Saskatchewan; and
   13. Yukon Territory.
3. LegistLens Canada Corp. operates a platform / website: https://www.Legistlenscanada.com.
4. LegistLens Canada Corp’s service to the public is free.
5. LegistLens Canada Corp. does not provide legal advice. The information on https://www.Legistlenscanada.com, is not legal advice and should never be construed as legal advice. For legal advice on any issue, please consult a qualified lawyer in your area or Canadian Jurisdiction.
6. LegistLens Canada Corp. facilitates a nexus between lawyers and other legal services providers and the public. We do not specifically recommend any particular lawyer or provider of mobile legal services. Referred lawyers may be selected based on the parameters that you the applicant provide. Our goal is to make legal services more accessible to the public, particularly to those who require mobile access.
7. LegistLens Canada Corp. is not responsible for nor does it guarantee any services provided by the lawyers and other legal services providers retained as a result of this service.
8. LegistLens Canada Corp. is not responsible for the services or advice provided by the subscribing lawyers and other legal services providers on our service.
9. All Subscribing Lawyers or other legal services providers utilizing the service LegistLens Canada  provides, have certified to us that they are qualified and licensed practitioners in their respective fields.
10. The Subscribing Lawyers or other legal services providers who utilize the services provided by LegistLens Canada and on this platform (https://www.Legistlenscanada.com) pay a service fee for the referral service we provide them.
11. Subscribing Lawyers or other legal services providers to whom we provide your information may contact you. We cannot guarantee that they will. By providing your contact numbers and address, you will give the subscribing lawyers and other legal services providers the ability to assess your needs and respond quickly to you.
12. Once you have connected to a Subscribing Lawyer or other legal services providers (whether directly from the information you acquire on this site, or by submitting a form via this site), all communication between you and that Subscribing Lawyer or other legal professional is of no interest to LegistLens Canada.
13. Using this service does not create a lawyer-client relationship between LegistLens Canada Corp. and the public or parties receiving a benefit from this website / platform (https://www.Legistlenscanada.com) or from the services we provide.
14. Members of the public should be aware that any information you enter on this or any website is not treated as confidential information. All websites are in the public domain and any information you input is not treated as confidential, and is not protected by solicitor-client privilege.
15. You are under no obligation to hire any Subscribing Lawyer, Mobile Legal Service Provider and / or other Legal Professional who responds to your submission. You are under no obligation to retain any Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers and / or other legal professional through this platform / website (https://www.Legistlenscanada.com).
16. LegistLens Canada Corp.’s service is to facilitate the public’s access to Canadian lawyers and providers of mobile legal services. You can choose the Subscribing Lawyer or other Legal Professional that best meets your needs. You are not bound by, or have any obligation to LegistLens Canada Corp.
17. LegistLens Canada Corp. has no interest in the fees charged by Subscribing Lawyers or other Legal Professionals, to their clients. We are not involved with the services they provide and have no knowledge of their fee structure. Since Subscribing Lawyers or other Legal Professionals typically charge for their time, you should ask Subscribing Lawyers, or other Legal Professionals about fees and costs before you book an appointment or consultation. 
18. Some Subscribing Lawyers or other Legal Professionals listed on our platform may accept Legal Aid Certificates. Please verify with the Subscribing Lawyers or other legal professional that they provide Legal Aid Service before attending for a consultation and prior to signing a retainer agreement.

1. By accessing this platform / website: https://www.Legistlenscanada.com and its services and / or the services provided by LegistLens Canada Corp., you agree to forever releases and forever save harmless LegistLens Canada Corp., https://www.Legistlenscanada.com, its agents, successors and assigns from any and all actions, causes of actions, suits, debts dues, accounts, bonds, covenants, contracts claims and demands, whatsoever and howsoever arising, which may have been or may later be sustained by LegistLens Canada Corp., https://www.Legistlenscanada.com, its agents, successors and assigns, or any of them, or which any of them hereafter can, shall or may have by reason of providing the referral services outlined herein on this platform / website: https://www.Legistlenscanada.com and promoting or advertising the services provided by LegistLens Canada Corp. elsewhere, through any other media or on any other platform.
2.    2. Qualified Paralegals who are licensed to provide legal services in a Canadian jurisdiction and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of that jurisdiction and have signed a referral service agreement with LegistLens Canada Corp.;
   3. Qualified Lawyers providing notary services and have signed a referral service agreement with LegistLens Canada Corp.; and
   4. Qualified Lawyers, Notaries, Paralegals etc., who provide mobile services by meeting clients at home, place of business or other accessible locations and have signed a referral service agreement with LegistLens Canada Corp.
4. “Canadian Jurisdiction” means any one of the following, all of the following or any combination the following:
   1. Alberta;
   2. British Columbia;
   3. Manitoba;
   4. New Brunswick;
   5. Newfoundland;
   6. Northwest Territories;
   7. Nova Scotia;
   8. Nunavut;
   9. Ontario;
   10. Prince Edward Island;

6. LegistLens Canada’s service to the public is free.

8. LegistLens Canada facilitates a nexus between lawyers / mobile legal service providers / other legal professionals and the public. We do not specifically recommend any particular lawyer or provider of mobile legal services. Referred lawyers, Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers and other legal professionals may be selected based on the parameters that applicants provide.
9. LegistLens Canada will provide potential clients with the means to connect with subscribing lawyers utilizing this platform / website: https://www.Legistlenscanada.com. Connections may be made either through direct submission through the platform, by email, telephone or other means provided by the Subscribing Lawyers, and other legal professionals.
10. Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers nd other legal professionals who utilize the platform gain Internet exposure as well as additional marketing options for their practices / businesses / professional development. Subscribing Lawyers who are sole practitioners or new calls will benefit from the opportunities presented here to attract clients.
11. Once Subscribing Lawyers, or other legal professionals are in direct communication with potential clients, LegistLens Canada relinquishes any further communication with that particular client for that particular matter. LegistLens Canada will have no further communication with the Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers and other legal professionals, related to any client once the connection or link has been made between the Subscribing Lawyer, Mobile Legal service provider or other legal professional and the potential client.
12. LegistLens Canada is not responsible for, nor does it guarantee any services or advice provided by the Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers or other legal professionals retained as a result of the services it provides whether directly or via the platform / website: https://www.Legistlenscanada.com.
13. All Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers and other legal professionals utilizing the services LegistLens Canada provides, have certified to us that they are qualified and licensed practitioners in their respective fields.
14. The Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers and other legal professionals who utilize the services provided by LegistLens Canada and on the platform / website: (https://www.Legistlenscanada.com) pay a service fee for the referral service we provide them.
15. LegistLens Canada highly recommends that Subscribing Lawyers, and other legal professionals disclose consultation fees and retainer fees structure to potential clients at the very first consultation.
16. Subscribing Lawyers and other legal professionals are under no obligation to provide free consultations to potential clients obtained through LegistLens Canada or on the platform / website: https://www.Legistlenscanada.com.  If you do provide free consultations, then you should advise potential clients of same prior to their initial consultation.
17. Subscribing lawyers and other legal service providers have the option to select from any of the advertising packages as may be available via https://www.Legistlenscanada.com, or offered by LegistLens Canada from time to time.
18. The price and terms for each package shall be included in the Service Agreement entered into with LegistLens Canada by subscribing lawyers and other legal services providers;
19. LegistLens Canada Corp. also provides advertising as an additional service to Subscribing Lawyers and other legal professionals. Professionals are not required to subscribe to the member ship packages listed above in order to subscribe for the Banner Ad Services.
20. Near the end of your annual subscription period, you will be sent a renewal invoice. Should you not wish to renew your membership at the end of your existing membership, you are required to notify LegistLens Canada Corp. in writing with your instructions to cancel your membership.
    If at any time during the subscription period, you wish to end your contract for services, with LegistLens Canada Corp., you may cancel at any time. Please note that subscriptions cancelled in the middle of a subscription period may remain active until the last day of the subscription period and then expire. We do not credit for the remainder of the term, regardless of the term length chosen during registration. There are no refunds.
21. All email submissions provided by this service are referrals only to the Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers and other legal professionals. The Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers and other legal professionals shall not distribute or provide any other person with the referral. This will ensure the value of the service all subscribers receive.
    Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers and other legal professionals hereby agree that all information provided by potential clients are to be kept confidential.
22. The Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers or other legal professionals subscribing to this service hereby certifies that she/he is properly licensed and duly qualified to practice in the appropriate field and relevant jurisdiction. The lawyer or other professional hereby undertakes to notify LegistLens Canada Corp. if she/he should become disqualified from practice for any reason.
23. LegistLens Canada Corp. reserves the right to terminate the service to the Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers or other legal professionals subscribing to this service should the Subscribing Lawyers, Mobile Legal service providers or other legal professionals cease to be licensed, or breaches any of the terms of this agreement.
24. By accessing the platform / website: https://www.LexNexCanada.com and its services and / or the services provided by LegistLens Canada Corp., you agree to forever releases and forever save harmless LegistLens Canada Corp., https://www.LexNexCanada.com, its agents, successors and assigns from any and all actions, causes of actions, suits, debts dues, accounts, bonds, covenants, contracts claims and demands, whatsoever and howsoever arising, which may have been or may later be sustained by LegistLens Canada Corp., https://www.LexNexCanada.com, its agents, successors and assigns, or any of them, or which any of them hereafter can, shall or may have by reason of providing the referral services outlined herein on this platform / website: https://www.LexNexCanada.com and promoting or advertising the services provided by LegistLens Canada Corp. elsewhere, through any other media or on any other platform.
    

    25. The Lawyers’ Portal – Listings

    Conducting business virtually is the way of the future.  Lawyers create a significant advantage by having an online presence.

    LegistLens members will benefit from having the added resources that this platform provides:

1. A free listing may be available during promotional periods. The objective is to showcase your basic services including you contact details and practice areas;

2. A Regular Membership gets you a full listing, free publication, access to our referral system, online presence and our social media connections;

3. Premium Membership gets you a full listing, free publications, one event posting per year, access to our referral system, our social media connections and video marketing via our YouTube channel;

4. Solo / Small Firm packages are individualized and tailored to fulfil the budgetary requirements of small firms, sole practitioners and new calls.  Lawyers can send us an email: info@legistlenscanada.com and we will contact you to arrange your package.
5. Membership Packages are renewable yearly, however, lawyers can sign up for monthly plans by directly contacting us at: info@legistlenscanada.com. Someone will follow up with you to create a more tailored plan to suit your needs.
6. All members will enjoy the opportunity to publish articles in their specialty areas, post jobs and list events at the price advertised by LegistLens per publication, event or job listing (if not already included in your membership package);

5. Published works are renewable annually, job postings and events are renewable every 3 months;

6. All publishers maintain intellectual property rights in their works. All publishers shall publish only articles written directly by them and must get explicit written and verifiable approval for publication of any joint authorships;  

7. LegistLens reserves the right to market listing information, articles, videos and other works submitted by lawyers, as it deems appropriate. You agree to allow LegistLens the right to advertise any listing, video, articles, jobs, events or other material you share through it’s online platform or platforms as the case may be, social media, other electronic media or otherwise.

26.  Publishing an article – benefits – formal requirements

 A.  The Benefits to you of Submitting Articles

As a registered subscriber with LegistLens Canada Corp. / LegistLenscanada.com, you increase your chances of being seen and selected by qualified visitors worldwide and you expand your reach to your target audience in Canada.  Registered subscribers may submit multiple articles.

You can use this opportunity to assure that clients understand your areas of expertise by the choice of subject matter.  Writing helps to establish you as a credible expert in your practice area(s).  It also improves your internet visibility.

Your Articles will appear in the searchable legal directory.  You will retain your intellectual property rights in articles submitted.  However, LegistLens Canada Corp. / LegistLenscanada.com reserves the rights to choose where we place articles on our platform / website or on social media.

All articles submitted are subject to review and editing to ensure that the content meets our preferred standards.

Publishing articles on the LegistLens Canada Corp. / LegistLenscanada.com platform / site is a great way to build your business and establish your law brand.

 B.  Our requirements for writing and submitting articles

1. Enter your article content as plain text, properly formatted. the LegistLens Canada Corp. / LegistLenscanada.com platform / site does not support hyperlinks, charts, graphs, images or any other “non-plain text” content within the body of your article. Additionally, please take a moment to do a final review of your article before submitting and also preview after uploading prior to submitting;
2. Please do not add any contact information to the article (including website URL, address, phone number or email address);
3. Do not include a call to action in such as: contact us now, call us, etc. in any of the article fields, including About the Author;
4. Please keep the length of the article to 500 to 1,000 words (1 to 2 pages);
5. Your article must be on a legal topic;
6. Articles should not contain the names of individuals, with the exception of public persons (such as celebrities and politicians);
7. Articles must be written in English. LegistLens Canada Corp. / LegistLenscanada.com does not provide legal information in other languages;
8. Choose a subject that focuses on one practice area, as articles will be displayed by practice area or legal category;
9. Pick a practical topic. Potential clients are usually seeking information or clarification on one legal matter affecting them. To attract potential clients, it is therefore important that articles solve a particular issue;
10. Write articles with unique content. Avoid duplication or plagiarism to avoid copyright issues.  LegistLens Canada Corp. / LegistLenscanada.com will not be held liable for your copyright breaches or plagiarism, as your articles remain your own;
11. We will accept articles consisting of approximately 500 to 1,000 words. We will not accept articles longer than 1,000 words;
12. Give your article a title;
13. Identify up to three law categories into which this article could fit;
14. Identify the subject matter for the benefit of the average lay person;
15. Ensure that your article does not read like an advertisement of your services. LegistLens Canada Corp. / LegistLenscanada.com will not display any article that is clearly just an advertisement for your services.  A reader who is clearly impressed with the information they receive through a well written article could become a potential client of yours as they would be more like to follow through to viewing the law firm or lawyer’s site details;
16. Don’t forget to include, at the end of your article:
    1. Your name and title; and
    2. Up to three areas of expertise.
17. We recommend unique content, however if your article is published on another website please ensure that you check the correct option for this article:

Someone will review your article to determine whether its’ acceptable for the LegistLens Canada Corp. / LegistLenscanada.com platform / site.  If we find that edits are needed we may send you an email request to revise same.  We reserve the right to chose not to post articles we deem unfit.

Once uploaded, you will be able to view your articles by clicking on the “Legal Articles” tab and scrolling through the relevant law category.

Once your article has been successfully approved and published to the LegistLens Canada Corp. / LegistLenscanada.com platform / site you can then advertise the article on your website, or in emails to your existing clients.
